somewhere

trilogy for better days

Black ideas. But still, hopes. Somewhere… on the yellow brick road, sticking grey will be like heaven.
Too many directions!
Confusion: Somewhere…. Why can’t I?

Since always, I love to suspend time immersing myself in filmed fairy tales. « The wizard of Oz » by Victor Flemming has always remained my favourite. At the beginning of this fable, the heroine Dorothy, feeling badly grey, sadly depicts an ideal country over the rainbow where all her dreams of happiness would become reality.

Fucking grey or paradise?
Suffocation or liberation? Reality or daydreaming?
Boredom disease or ideal fantastical adventures?
Escaping or assuming?
Wearing distorting spectacles or seeing?
Embellishing, just a fragment of time or the whole period?
However, always, undoubtedly disenchantment comes …
When the clock rings midnight, inevitably real life comes back; all the cinderallas vanish…
Then begins the age of reason.

Is it becoming less bloody stupid?

Somewhere, is an homage and a personal transposition of the film « The wizard of Oz ». It is an urban trilogy: the roaming of a contemporary Dorothy during three periods of her life (thirties, fourties and early sixties)
